The De La Louisiane is a whiskey-based cocktail recipe that was first published in Famous New Orleans Drinks & How to Mix 'Em by Stanley Clisby Arthur in 1937. This variation was adapted from The Essential Cocktail Book by the editors of PUNCH and Megan Krigbaum.

De La Louisiane Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients
 2 oz Rye
 ¾ oz Bénédictine
 ½ oz Sweet Vermouth
 3 dashes Absinthe
 3 dashes Peychaud's Creole Bitters
 1 Cherry

Add rye, Bénédictine, sweet vermouth, absinthe, bitters, and cubed ice to a mixing glass.

Stir for 30-45 seconds.

Strain into a cocktail glass.
