The Rosenthal is a beer and cachaça-based cocktail recipe that was created by Jon and Lindsay Yeager in Nashville, Tennessee. This variation was adapted from their book The Ultimate Guide to Beer Cocktails: 50 Creative Recipes for Combining Beer & Booze.

The Rosenthal Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients
 3 oz Barleywine Ale
 2 oz Cachaça
 ¾ oz Homemade Simple Syrup (Click for Recipe)
 1 Lime
 1 Lime Slice

Cut lime into three slices.

Add lime slices pulp side up to a shaker.

Muddle gently for 5-7 seconds.

Add cachaça, simple syrup, and cubed ice to shaker.

Shake for 10-20 seconds.

Pour into a lowball glass.

Top with barleywine ale.
