The White Russian is a rum-based cocktail recipe that was first published in The Diners’ Club Drink Book by Matty Simmons in 1961. This variation was adapted from The Essential Cocktail Book by the editors of PUNCH and Megan Krigbaum.

White Russian Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients
 2 oz Dark Rum
 1 ½ oz Coffee Liqueur
 ¼ oz Luxardo Amaro Abano
 ¼ oz Amaretto Liqueur
 3 oz Heavy Cream
Method

Add heavy cream and amaretto liqueur to a shaker.

Dry shake for 10 seconds.

Pour into a glass.

Add rum, coffee liqueur, Amaro Abano, and cubed ice to shaker.

Shake for 10-20 more seconds.

Strain into a lowball glass.

Carefully float cream on top.
